Math Classroom Routines That Work (3-5)

In this after-school session, we'll explore highly effective routines that help engage students in the Five Components of Equitable and Engaging Teaching from the 2023 California Mathematics Framework. These routines foster curiosity, promote student engagement in math discussions, and emphasize reasoning, justification, and student-generated questions and conjectures. 
 
This session is suitable for 3-5 teachers.

As part of the Literacy by 5th Grade Initiative, RCOE is providing all teachers with a toolkit that includes English and Spanish interactive resources that can be used to bridge the gaps in phonics, phonemic awareness, vocabulary, comprehension, fluency, oral language development and writing. In this session, you will learn how to leverage the Data Dashboard Reports to monitor student activity, student areas of strength and difficulty, and target individualized assignments to your students! Topics for this training will include:
● How to access and read Footsteps2Brilliance Data Dashboards.
● How to use Footsteps2Brilliance resources to provide additional practice that correlates with your core language programs.
● How to find students' areas of strength and difficulties.
● How to assign extended learning opportunities as well as create individualized plans for your students.
