Unique Learning System Essentials_Invite Only (30 Subs Needed)
Tuesday September 17, 2024 8:00am - 2:30pm PDT
This training will be provided by a ULS trainer and will cover the basics of the Unique Learning System, including Symbol Stix, L3 Games, and News2You.  It is designed for special education teacher who are utilizing the ULS alternative curriculum for their Special Day Class students with moderate to moderate/severe disabilities.

Lunch will be served. If you have dietary accommodations, please email Wendy Enochs, wendy.enochs@leusd.k12.ca.us, one week before the the training.

-Review of available assessments through Q Interactive
-How to administer each assessment and subtest within each assessment available for SLP's
-Tips and Tricks to assist SLP's while assessing a student when using Q Interactive

Mastering IEP Goal Writing: Strategies for Effective and Measurable Outcomes (Secondary)(40 subs needed)
Thursday February 13, 2025 8:00am - 2:30pm PST
This professional development session is designed to empower educators with the skills and strategies needed to write effective, measurable, and individualized education plan (IEP) goals. Participants will learn how to align goals with students' unique needs, strengths, and present levels of performance while ensuring compliance with legal and educational standards. Through hands-on activities and collaborative discussions, attendees will explore best practices for crafting SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) goals that drive student progress and success. This session is ideal for special education teachers, general educators, and support staff involved in the IEP process

Lunch will be served. Please notify Wendy Enochs if you require meal accommodations at least 1 week before the event.

Please make sure you work with your site administrator and secretary to arrange coverage. All materials will be made available after the PDs in the SEIS User Group.
