We will review why we have opted to utilize this curriculum and its elements of instruction.
Please bring your laptops and your materials (Teacher Edition Volume 1, Student Workbook A, and your 5 plastic bags of student kits). Time will be provided to review the first week of lessons and practice the routines. We will take some time to put the student kits together so you leave ready to implement 95% in your classroom!
Our HS Adoption Committee will be meeting during this subcommittee meeting to discuss publisher presentations and reach consensus on which publishers to pilot.
This training is for 504 Coordinators and Site Administrators to be trained on the the most current legal requirements of Section 504 plans for students. This date is open to all grade levels, but Elementary and K-8 Coordinators will be able to complete the school day and still arrive on time.

This professional development session focuses on organizing task-based instruction rooted in the "Big Ideas" outlined in the 2023 California Mathematics Framework. You will learn how to organize the instructional block effectively and use meaningful tasks to engage students. We will leverage SVMI tasks within this session. We will provide practical strategies and resources for integrating task-based learning into daily, weekly and monthly instruction. Suitable for all teachers.
In this after-school session, we'll explore highly effective routines that help engage students in the Five Components of Equitable and Engaging Teaching from the 2023 California Mathematics Framework. These routines foster curiosity, promote student engagement in math discussions, and emphasize reasoning, justification, and student-generated questions and conjectures. This session is suitable for middle school teachers.
