This training on the legal aspects of Title IX will provide the necessary guidance for all LEUSD Administrators in determining what steps to take when we are faced with situations involving discrimination based on sex including harassment. We will receive detailed information on the following areas: • Scope of 2024 Title IX Regulations and Definitions • Title IX Roles and Responsibilities • Intake Process • Title IX Grievance Process • Retaliation • Record Keeping
There are three different training dates, but Administrators should attend only one training.
This professional development is designed for special education case managers and will occur over 2 days. Please sign up for both Part 1 (October 23) and Part 2. Topics covered over both days will be:
How to appropriately document an English Learner's education needs through their IEP
Identifying linguistically appropriate IEP goals
Guidance on accommodations and scaffolds which will support students throughout the school year and will be used on the ELPAC

Participants will learn how to align goals with students' unique needs, strengths, and present levels of performance while ensuring compliance with legal and educational standards. Through hands-on activities and collaborative discussions, attendees will explore best practices for crafting SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) goals that drive student progress and success. This session is ideal for special education teachers, general educators, and support staff involved in the IEP process

This professional development session focuses on organizing task-based instruction rooted in the "Big Ideas" outlined in the 2023 California Mathematics Framework. You will learn how to organize the instructional block effectively and use meaningful tasks to engage students. We will leverage SVMI tasks within this session. We will provide practical strategies and resources for integrating task-based learning into daily, weekly and monthly instruction. Suitable for all teachers.
