Mathematical Language Routines (MLRs): Why, What and How?
Tuesday February 11, 2025 8:00am - 2:00pm PST
In this session we will dig into the Mathematical Language Routines (MLRs) that are highlighted in the 2023 California Mathematics Framework. Teachers will engage in an overview of these 8 routines, which are essential tools for supporting student discourse and understanding.

The highlight of this session is the design lab, where teachers will engage in a collaborative process where they will design MLRs and determine how these routines can be effectively incorporated within an instruction block of task-based instruction.
